IMF-World Bank report contributes to FSB RoadmapOn 13 December 2021, the IMF and the World Bank will publish a report entitled "A draft framework for money laundering/terrorist financing risk assessment of a remittance corridor". This provides a draft framework and methodology for risk assessment of remittance corridors that have the potential to be classified as "secure remittance corridors". This framework is a contribution to the FSB's Roadmap for Improving Cross-Border Payments, endorsed by G20 Leaders in 2020, which aims to achieve faster, cheaper, more transparent and inclusive cross-border payment services. The proposed framework will be piloted in some corridors to test and further refine the assessment methodology.
