FSB reports on global trends and risks in non-bank financial intermediationThe Financial Stability Board has published the Global Monitoring Report on Non-Bank Financial Intermediation 2021. The report presents the findings of the FSB's annual monitoring exercise to assess global trends and risks in non-bank financial intermediation (NBFI).
The report presents NBFI developments up to the end of 2020, the first year of the COVID 19 pandemic, and covers 29 countries accounting for about 80% of global GDP. In the report, the FSB focuses in particular on those parts of NBFIs that may pose bank-like risks to financial stability and/or regulatory arbitrage.
