Agreement on improvements on EU's investement fund market

EU Parliament and member states arrive at a compromise

The proposal will soon be one year old - back in March 2018, the EU Commission proposed in its action plan for accelerating the implementation of the Capital Market Union measures to enable asset managers in the EU to sell funds more easily, quickly and cost-effectively to a wider range of investors and to offer investors more security and at the same time offering a wider range of fund products.

The EU Parliament and the member states have now agreed on a compromise - technical details all institutions can officially vote on are going to follow. As always, you will find these on our hub.

For further details on the current compromise, please refer to the press release of the EU Commission.
