Preliminary agreement on the Digital Operational Resilience Act

Council Presidency and the European Parliament reach agreement on DORA

The Council Presidency and the European Parliament reached a preliminary agreement on the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), which aims to ensure that the financial sector in Europe is able to maintain its operations in the event of a severe operational disruption.

DORA establishes uniform requirements for the security of networks and information systems of financial sector companies and organizations, as well as critical third parties, and creates a legal framework for digital operational resilience. These requirements are consistent across all EU member states. The main goal is to prevent and mitigate cyber threats.
