Implementation Check FMA Guide

The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) has set itself the goal for 2022 of conducting a cross-sector survey to determine the extent to which sustainability risks are already integrated into the strategy, governance and risk management of the Austrian financial market. For this purpose, the FMA Guide on Dealing with Sustainability Risks from 2020 will be used as a reference. In addition, the challenges in connection with disclosure requirements will be evaluated. The survey will also serve to identify any need for further development of the FMA Guidelines with the direct involvement of the companies supervised by the FMA. In order to gather the relevant information, a survey will be conducted with over 100 supervised entities. The survey will run until June 30, 2022. Further information can be found here.
