Euro area and national balance of payments and international investment position statistics

The annual report provides a quality review of the national balance of payments (b.o.p.), international investment position (i.i.p.) and the international reserves template of the Eurosystem (international reserves), as well as the associated euro area aggregates. In detail it provides a quality analysis of the statistical output, covering the elements of: methodological soundness, compliance with timeliness, reliability and stability, internal consistency (completeness and validation, and net errors and omissions) and external consistency/coherence with other comparable statistical domains (euro area accounts, foreign trade in goods statistics, MFI balance sheet items, money market funds, investment funds and securities holding statistics).
